“Vegas & Cards” … that what the poster could tell first time I looked at it; it got me excited to watch the movie. This movie is based on the true story of MIT students whom well-trained counting cards so they became professionals. It is about these five genius students whom were taught by their professor how to count cards, in order to win each gambling they are welling to take. It starts with this hopeless genius student -Ben- who wanted to admit Harvard Medical School but can’t afford its tuition which is $300.000. One of the lectures that he attended, he showed his intelligence when the professor asked the students to pick up the right answer between three options, nobody gave an answer but Ben, the professor started to negotiate the answer with him until Ben beat the professor with his perfect fast analysis. The professor was impressed so he blinked at one of his card-counting club students, meaning by that to invite Ben to the club. Ben refused to join the group at first, thinking this game is illegal, but lately, he thought about it and how this play will be useful in paying his education tuition, he joined them at last. And the fun started! Whoohoo! The professor and his genius card-counting players keep going forth and back every weekend to gamble at Las Vegas casinos and gain the money. Ben became the leader of this group toward untold riches!

For me, I knew the story about the real five students who came up with the idea of counting cards to gain money through this game, but I didn’t know exactly how, so I went to see the movie. The best part I liked when they were spending nights memorizing the numbers and the signs of the cards, each number and each sign has its own different meaning. Also Vegas part, it was awesome, it makes you feel nervous, excited yet, to know if they are winning or losing, especially when they were monitored by the casino security. And how they caught by the casino guards once the security guards noticed that the casino money is decreasing in large amount. It grabs your attention by the sequenced thrilled scenes. At last, Ben could make it to get the scholarship for his education at Harvard, and he made his own card-counting club!

The movie is awesome! I Liked it alot.
